Gosh, I haven't posted at Taggerpaws in a long time ! I've been busy . So many projects and not enough time in the day to get them done. Don't you love this banner ? It was a special request banner to go over her water and food dish. I love it. I've been making banners for awhile now. You can check out other designs over at SugarPawScraps blog if you're interested in them. I do take requests for special orders.
Tomorrow the groundhog better predict an early spring ! Trying to get a 15 year old yorkie boy to go outside in the cold is next to impossible. Have a yappy day !

Famous Word Art Freebie !

I've seen this similar word art on t shirts lately and could not resist making a graphic
to add on my homemade cards. We've all used our furkids for photo shoots, so they are
a bit famous on Facebook because everyone knows who they are...LOL.
( Don't copy this one above because it has a watermark.)

1500 by 1072 pixels, PNG, 300 dpi, PU, 5 " by 3.5" printout

I reduced it to fit my card project in PSP. You could reduce the file size using any
program you have. It has a transparent background. You can print on
any light colored patterned cardstock.

Happy Woofday freebie

I have a freebie for you today. I needed a bone label for a pet birthday card.

Both say Happy Woofday. One is a larger file 1498 pixels by 785 pixels which prints roughing 5" w by 2 1/2 " l . The second file prints 1" by 2" w .
Snag 'em if you can use them. All I ask is you don't change the file names.
PU, 300 DPI, PNG . Layer or print on any color .

Pet Sympathy card, 2 freebies & a tutorial

I finished my pet sympathy card for my friend in Canada. It turned
out nice although there are many things I would have done differently.
I used DCWV Lace and Linen designer papers. I'm going to be offering
the sentiments I made as freebies. One is She and the other He .
This post will be a longer one today. I've had some people ask me
how I print out these borders for a card layer. It's very easy.

Here is a short tutorial . Open whatever you use for your printing software.
I use PSP .You can use any program to print. Just make sure it is printing
4" by 5" .
I use only the amount of paper I need.
I cut my paper about 6" because I like a good size area around the text border.
Most programs allow you to place the text file on the paper where you want it to print.
If you need to, do a sample print on white copy paper first for exact placement .
You're only wasting a small amount of black ink.
I put my file up in the corners. I hate wasting paper. If I am happy with
the test print , then I ready my design paper.
I take a piece of regular copy paper and adhere the pattern paper to the copy
paper using
REMOVABLE scrapbooking tape.

I turn it over and put it into my printer making sure everything will print
out the way I want.
The print should come out the printer feed looking like this.

I cut the piece I need and save the rest of the paper for other projects.
I tend not to waste design paper that way.

Now for the freebies ! These will print out to fit inside the smallest
oval Spellbinders die. PNG and 300 DPI. PU please.

Rainbow Bridge Digi Border for A2

It's with a sad heart I needed a pet loss sympathy border tonight.
One of my good friend's lost her sweet yorkie this morning. :-(
A pet sympathy card will be my project for tomorrow. I wish it was not so.
If you like this border also , please remember the word art border will
print out 4" by 5" to fit an A2 size card base. The file is 300 DPI and
PNG transparent. You can print it out on any light pattern cardstock.
Personal Use only please.
When I get my card completed, I'll post it here . Check back later,

Dog Days of Summer A2 DigiBorder Freebie

I've had such a good response on the Digital borders for the A2 size cards,
I decided to make a few more. This one is called Dog Days of Summer.
I made a card to show you how it will look printed on patterned paper.
The file is png (transparent). You can print on any color cardstock
or pattern paper. It prints as is 4"by 5" . I use it as the first layer on the
bottom base card . I tried my hand at a photo card this time. I printed
a picture of my grand-yorkie Roxie , cut the picture using Spellbinders
label 8. I also framed it in a larger Spellbinder label 8 that I popped up with
foam dimensionals. It will be a perfect
end of summer card for my daughter and granddaughter.
She'll love getting it in the mail. Click on the picture to open it
in another window for closer detail.

Paw Bone Border for A2 card

I made a Paw Bone border for an A2 size card today.
I placed it on some digital pink dotted paper, so you can see how it will
print when using your own colored or patterned cardstock. The file is png (transparent except for the text/image) for that reason. It will print 4" by 5 " to
fit an A2 size card.
The file will not have the pink background
paper when you download it from 4 shared. Personal Use only please.
300 DPI for quality print.

I have used them both on colored cardstock for one of the layers on the card front

Freebie Digistamp !

I needed a digistamp for a card project. It's in png , so snag it if you'd like.
You can use it anyway you like, but credit is always appreciated.
Click on the image for original size and right click to save AS a png.
You'll preserve the image with no background
and it will print on any color paper you choose to use.
It prints and cuts out nicely with a 2 " punch. Print on cardstock and
color in the paw print using your markers and it looks really cute.
I made a non pet one for SugarPawScraps also. If you need one with a heart,
stop by and grab it.

I'm still here......

I haven't been in the mood for digital creating lately :-( It was a sad year for me
last year. I lost my beloved 3 1/2 year old yorkie in August to a fast aggressive cancer called multiple myeloma . She was only sick 20 days. After many transfusions , biopsies, medications and tests, the vets treating her could not save her. She had a pulmonary hemorrhage on the 20 th day and left for Rainbow Bridge. I've been in a blue funk for awhile now. I miss her so much. She was not quite 4 pounds and very much loved.
I hope to get back to digital designs soon. In the mean time , I've been making homemade cards in my craft room when I'm not helping with family and grandkids.
Paper scrapping has kept me from my overwhelming sadness in losing my sweet Lily.
I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas Holiday ! We've been snowed in since yesterday , so I'm going to finish a project or two.

Happy Earth Day ! My goodness I've been gone a long time.
I've had so much going on. I could not find the time to
play around in PSP. Our daughter had her baby a month early.
She is still in the hospital , so I've been on grandma duty.
I did manage to make an Earth Day graphic to share with you.
It's 775 by 808 pixels not full size and personal size only.
It's not pet themed so I put it on my
SugarPaw Scraps blog first. I will post it here also.

Bone Doodles Freebie

It's hard to believe it's October ! I made some fun bone doodles
today and thought you might like them too. They look cute added to
your furbabies LO's . I also added in the zip file three papers. They
are embossed with sculls , bones and paws. You can't see
the embossing in the preview graphic at all but it's there .
There are 4 bone doodles included. One says Boo, one says
Da Bone Cruncher, one says Spooky and One says
Dead Worms R Kewl . Font used was Creepy.
The sculls I used to make the papers are by Leigh at Heartfelt Perfections.
It's all Full Size ...300 DPI .

Need Photo Repair ?

I came across a lady that does photo repair work via the internet and I'm so happy with her work ! I had a horrible looking photo hubby kept on his tool box since the early 80's. It was faded, taped, torn, spotted, and full of tack holes. It was taken in front of a fountain at the zoo around 1980-81. This year those same two little girls posed at the same fountain with their children. I wanted to make a LO but I just could not fix that old picture. One part of a face was completely gone. I almost gave up until I found Tricia.
Tricia not only fixed it she tried to make a new mouth and chin. She even removed a whole person from the photo. I'm standing right by my young daughter holding her on the stone ledge in the original. In one finished repair, I'm taken out.
I wanted to pass this along . You may have old damaged photos that are very special to you and she will help. She is very affordable .

I'm still behind in Scrapping

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade ! I keep telling myself that. My Mom
woke up last week with a detached retina, so into surgery she went. I've been busy
doing my daughter duties. I haven't scrapped a thing even though I'm itching to. I just get started on something and have to stop :-( Hopefully next week things will slow down for me.

Sad news and a short note.

I'm been away from my blog and PSP for awhile now. My beloved Dad passed away suddenly last Tuesday. He was 89 and a very special Dad.
He was a Rt Army Major .The funeral with full military honors
was very heartbreaking and something I'll never forget. I sure miss
him :-( I love you Dad !
On a much lighter note, Donna from Freedom to Bark has made a darling
pet themed blog layout and is offering it for free on her blog. I
love seeing free pet goodies out there in blogworld. There hasn't been
much offered in the past to pet owners. We love our furkids as much as

After a very fun day with the family at the Strawberry Festival , I sat down
and made a new Quick Page. The page kit was made by Trina Clark
and it's called House is Not a Home. If you've never seen
Trina's artwork you must go take a look at her web site. She has so many
adorable kits, clips, bits and scraps ! I love them all. She has given me
permission to make pet themed digiscraps to offer here at Taggerpaws
using her artwork. :-)
This preview doesn't show much of the detail in the QP but it's really
cute. It's 12" by 12" full size, 300 DPI .
The dog bone frame I made using detailed help from Gunhild Storeide. She's
a wonderful mentor ...thank you Gunhild ! I added a few more elements
I made that were not in Trina's Kit like the flowers , glitter
and string bow.

she has designed. Let's hope there will be

Gray dog bone flair Freebies !

Goodness......
I thought the dog bone flairs were done for awhile but checking my folders
I found 6 looking for homes ! They are gray backgrounds. I hope
someone can use them. I apologize to the cat owners. I didn't want
to over look you but after I made the flair it dawned on me....cats
don't chew bones...ha! I don't think so anyway unless it's a catnip
bone :-) Hopefully you can use one or two of these flairs .
I'd like to thank Bel Vidotti Scraps for the preview template I used.

Bully Stick Quick Page !

I wanted to make a layout using the bully stick flair for Lily's puppy pic.

She loved her bully stick . Not only her bully but her 2 furbrother's bully. They

were the best ones of all.

After I made the bully stick cluster frame and finished it,

I decided to turn it into a freebie quick page for anyone that can use it for their

pet scrapbooking pages. If you haven't started a memory book yet for

your sweet pet companions, please think about it. The years go

by so quickly and crafted photo memories of them become priceless !

Everything in the QP was designed and put together by myself.

BBQ BFF Quick Page

It's your lucky day ! In celebration of my daughter's birthday
on the 4th of July and the introduction of my own digi scraps
design name... SugarPaw Scraps, I'm offering a matching
BBQ BFF quick page as an additional Freebie . I know there
are many of you that only use quick pages because as a beginner
that's all I downloaded also. Just pop a pic under the layer

It's almost the 4th of July weekend ! Time

is flying by. Most of us will be

busy getting ready for BBQ family and friends get togethers.
It's our daughter's birthday so we'll be celebrating all day long.

I made a 4th of July cluster frame freebie for you

today. It's from Kathy Winter Designs
new page kit called Independence. It's a darling

patriotic kit and can be purchased at Scrapable.net. Kathy

is allowing me to use her kits to make fun freebies

I found something really cute today. It's at PitaPata and you can make Tickers
of your furbabies age to add to your blogs or forum signatures.
I made one for Lily and it wasn't hard. Just remember to click
transparent background if you're adding it to a colored wallpaper.
They give you the code to copy and paste into your layout.
The flattened picture at the top of this post has the months wrong, so
I'm heading back to fix it before I add the HTML code to
my blog layout. Let me know if you make Tickers for your
furkids !

Cluster Frame for you !

My very first freebie ! I decided to find another page kit designer that would
allow me to make a cluster frame to offer at TaggerPaws. Leah from Digi Web
Studio assured me using the kit, Let Freedom Ring, from her web site was
just fine. It's not pet related, I know , but I will try to find a pet kit
that allows cluster frames to the offered free here the next time.
I enjoy making the cluster frames and I hope someone can use them in a
layout or sig tag. The frame is Full Size but you should be able to resize with
no problem. If your new to PSP, just pop a picture under the frame layer
and Merge Visible. It's easy ...TRY it !
Let me know if I can help in any way. I was new to
it all once also and welcomed any help I could get understanding PSP
and layers.

New Cluster Frame

I had a bit of a disappointment today but my pity party
didn't last long. I made a cluster frame from a pet page kit I
purchased last year.
I was hoping to offer the cluster frame as a freebie to everyone.
I asked for permission from the designer but was turned down.
Bummer !
I worked very hard on the frame to get it just right. Because it is
a frame and others can add to it, it's not allowed under her TOU.
I dusted myself off and added a picture of my beautiful
grandaughter Gina and my sweet furgrandaughter Roxie to
the cluster frame. I'll show it here and when I have more time
this weekend, I'll make a larger layout.
I'm hoping to find a designer of a pet page kit that will allow me to
make another cluster frame and offer it as a freebie here. Hint ! Hint !

It's been awhile !

I haven't had any time to play in PSP.

I had to help move my aging parents from Florida

to Michigan. It's been a stressful time but I hope

it calms down a bit.

I found this cute QP frame on Digifree and added Lily's

puppy and current picture to it. I can't make out the

designer name along the frame but I think it might be

Clareysdesigns ?

Before we know it Easter will be here ! Time to make

a cute LO using some of the Easter kits I've

snagged. I'm looking forward to it.

Here it is almost Valentine's Day ! I heard the groundhog

didn't pick us a winner and we get more winter. Living in

the MI mitten I expected no less. We don't get spring weather till the

second week of April usually.

Today started as a very great day for me. I got a present in my email !

I admired a digital designer's web site and especially her ladybug

blog layout . I emailed and asked her where I might get some

ladybugs just like hers so I could make

a sig tag for my granddaughter Gina Marie. She send me my very own

page kit !!!!!!! How awesome is that ? What a big heart

Present for my Friend

I made a sig tag for Debbie last night. It's one of the first ones

I made all on my own. No tut this time...woohoo.

Debbie designs my yorkie web site and forum .She is a very dear
online friend to me for many years now. These are her sweet yorkies
Megan and Nikki. They all live in Canada. She graciously

helps me with no complaints, so I thought I'd make something special

for her. She is a breast cancer survivor and a lovely person inside

and out.

I could not find a paw template anywhere so I made my own !

I'd share it with you all but I don't have a 4 share account.

I should get one, I suppose. I made a paw mask also. I need to find some talented, veteran designers that will make more pet related scrappies.

I purchased some cute tubes the other day

from Suzanne Woolcott's store .
I really liked what others had done with her artwork.
I found a really nice tutorial to follow by Vixpsp called
Solid Love. The furmodel is my 12 year old yorkie Weenie.
Font is Antigoni. Scraps from kits I own. Tube

is called Fallen by artist Suzanne Woolcott.
I didn't do half of what was on Vix's tutorial
because I got stuck trying to understanding parts of it
but I think it still turned out as cute as can be !!!

Template Practice

It was sooooo bitter cold today in the MI mitten. I decided to just stay put at home . So today I practiced learning to use a template. I had a bit of trouble because there was no tutorial to follow and I wasn't sure how to do anything at first. The finished tag looks pretty good though. The template is a freebie from Denz Designs. I liked the tag she made with this Template #19 on her web site. Now that I have a better understanding of templates, I'll view them at Digifree and designers web sites in a very different light !

My yorkies are top Weenie, age 12, middle Lily Rose, age two and bottom Hank, age 8 very soon. They are very loved , spoiled furkids that own our hearts.

I could not wait to make a tag when I saw this pretty heart frame Tammy from Voodoo Scraps gave away today as a freebie. It's so pretty ! So is my 12 year old yorkie Weenie , so I stuck him in the center. :-)

....when you have tons of things to do at home and don't know where to start. You play on PSP !!!!!!! I was determined to learn more about masks, so I found a few tutorials online. I made the mask used in this graphic of my yorkie Lily. I made the PSP pawprint brush to use for the mask from a free pawprint tube I got online. I followed the tutorial on http://www.brovik.com/ for making a mask. The pawprint circle mask turned out okay , so I saved it to my masks folder. I see some mistakes for sure but for a first try I'll keep it. I'd offer it as a freebie but I have no idea how to do that. I'll have to read up on 4shared. Hopefully I'll get better at masks/brushes and make more pet related digital bits to pass on for our projects.

I got the cute valentine frame on Digifree the other day. I added my image/mask and free word art by fburnettBeMine. The font used was Curlz. It's only January, I know but I was tired of red and green !

Here it is almost the beginning of a brand New Year ! Time
is flying by. I hope 2009 brings Love, Peace, Good Health, a Green
Planet and a prosperous economy for all of us .
I tried my hand at following a New Year tutorial from Candytreats.
It came out pretty good. My little models are my furkids Hank,
Weenie and Lily Rose. I'd like to thank Diane for her kind help
and support . She was very sweet to teach me how to do the
black text edged in gold . The font used was Crooked . I really
appreciate the designers and talented digiscrappers from all over
the world that willingly help newbies like me. They are making this fun
and very addicting. If you haven't tried one of Candystreats tutorials yet, give it a try because she makes them very easy to follow .

I know I took down the Holiday decorations because I was so excited to put up the new wallpaper/header set Shel Scraps designed but I just had to add something back . I made a tag tonight to wish everyone Happy Holidays from myself and my three furkids.I used Scrapity Scrap Country Christmas page kit to make the signature tag. I'm starting to understand PSP better but I still have a long way to go.

Christmas decorations are over here at TaggerPaws ! We just received our brand new custom designed background/header set from Shel's Scraps. Isn't it awesome ? I could not wait to add it to the Blog . If you need a new look, Shel's is the place to go. Her blinkie is on the blog. Shel is so nice to work with and very, very patient . Thank you so much Shel !!
It looks like a snowglobe gone wild here in the MI mitten. We could get up to 10 inches of the white stuff. It's definately going to be a white Christmas here in my corner of the world.

While surfing the web , I noticed there were not any blogs just for pet owners to showcase the tags and layouts they designed for their furbabies. I'm very new to digital scrapping , so I haven't many tags to show. I'm hoping others will *decorate* these blog walls with their digital pet creations. In the mean time, I'll be busy printing out my PSP tutorials and trying not to pull all my hair out learning digital scrapbooking !

Here is a tag I made following a free tutorial by QueenBrat. The scrap kit used was from her store called " A Lil Christmas Romance". The cute little furbaby is my youngest yorkie Lily Rose.
